The Soave district is one of the most important wine-producing areas both within the region and in Italy. It was considered as the first typical production zone, bordered off in 1931 and recognised by Royal decree in 1936 as the first DOC area in the Veneto region (1968) and the first DOCG zone of the Veneto (with Recioto wine, in 1998).
The NARDELLO Company vineyards are located between Mount Zoppega at Monteforte and Mount Tondo at Soave, both within the Soave Classico zone, the area designated to have the best characteristics for producing excellent Soave wines.
In geographical terms, these two hills represent the extreme southern border of the classic zone and this is what gave us the idea for the name of the company’s first Soave Classico.
The altitude of the afore-mentioned hills is between 100-120 metres above sea level.
